These stainless steel saddles are designed for use in T500 distillation columns, providing superior performance over ceramic alternatives. Fill the column with saddles, shaking them into place as you add them - the column should still produce a shaking noise when properly filled.
Stainless steel construction offers significant advantages: it enhances the refluxing action that removes unwanted impurities rather than absorbing them like ceramic saddles do. The non-porous surface ensures longer lifespan and more consistent performance over multiple distillations.
Cleaning Instructions: Remove saddles from the column and soak in vinegar, then rinse thoroughly 3-4 times before reassembly. Cleaning is only required every 5-10 distillations. Keep stainless steel and copper saddles separate during cleaning for easier reassembly.
